I’ve been in the industry for over 30 years, and I’ve pretty much seen it all.
I have well-honed business acumen and well-rounded business skills. This means that I can solve most problems that a business is confronted with.
I’ve extensive experience in business structuring, capital gains tax, small business concessions, superannuation and management accounting, and all levels of tax legislation relating to small to medium size business.
In terms of credentials, I’ve a Bachelor of Business, I’m a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (including being a Financial Planning Specialist), a Fellow of The Taxation Institute of Australia and a Justice of the Peace. Outside of work, my wife (Sharon) and I have three sons (Harrison, Hunter and Tasman) and a daughter (Madison). So, the majority of my spare time is spent at kids activities and sporting events. I have particular interest in rugby union (as a former player for West Harbour RUFC) and have coached my sons’ footy teams over the years. I also love golf – and would love to become a professional golfer one day – if only I had the ability!
I have worked as an accountant for over 25 years. Most of this time has been spent helping individuals and small to medium business with their accounting, taxation and business needs – including structuring, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
I started off my career in Wagga Wagga, and have since worked for medium and large firms in Adelaide and Sydney. I joined S&W in 2002 and became a partner in 2003.
I have a Masters Degree in Tax, and am expert at providing high-level tax advice to all levels of businesses, including advising on international tax. I have a Bachelor of Business, am a Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia. I am also a Registered Self-Managed Superannuation Fund Auditor.
Outside of work, I like to spend time with my family – my wife Christine, our 5 kids and our 3 grandchildren. On the weekends you can normally find me at the beach, the movies, or taking my bike for a spin.
I joined the team at Stanley & Williamson in 2002 and was made partner in 2009.
All together, I have over 15 years of experience. During this time, I have developed an interest in capital gains tax, small business taxation, fringe benefits tax, salary packaging and start-ups. I also have experience with tax compliance, business structuring and financial modelling.
I have Bachelor Degrees in Commerce and Law, am a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and am a Fellow of The Taxation Institute of Australia. I am also a Registered Self-Managed Superannuation Fund Auditor.
When I’m not at work, you can normally find me spending quality time with my family – my wife and 2 kids keep me pretty busy when I’m at home, especially in Summer when we seem to live at the beach.
I joined Stanley & Williamson in 1996, and besides from a working holiday in the UK, have worked here ever since. I became partner in 2003.
Over the past 20 years in the industry I have worked with clients on a range of services including business advisory, tax accounting, auditing and IT.
I have a Bachelor Degree in Financial Administration, am a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, a Member of the Taxation Institute of Australia and a Justice of the Peace. I am also a Registered Self-Managed Superannuation Fund Auditor.
When I’m not in the office, I am normally spending time with my family (wife Kylie and 2 daughters, Tazmin and Amelie) – we tend to get out and about as much as possible. But if we are home, then it’s taking a bike ride, having a swim or fixing up the house and garden. I am also interested in technology and computers, so you’ll find me researching and tinkering when I have the time.
